Sleep lab at KIMS hospital was established in 2005.
We are equipped with 2 state of the art 55-channel Polysomnography labs performing Level-I studies, with video recording. We have 2 dedicated rooms for the studies with an attached monitoring room to avoid disturbance to the patient.
Diagnostic sleep study, titration sleep study, MSLT
CPAP and BiPAP titration studies are done in our centre for OSA and hypoventilation patients.
KIMS being a multi speciality hospital with DNB postgraduate program in 25 specialties & super specialities, training opportunities are available for doctors & technicians at our sleep center. Students are given dissertation topics related to seep medicine which are presented in various State & National conferences and published in various journals. Workshops are conducted at regular intervals for training of doctors & technicians.
A full time Indian Board of Sleep medicine Certified sleep technician and 2 part time technicians run the lab throughout year. Manual titration and scoring are done by our qualified technician and supervised by the Pulmonologist.
On an average, 25 sleep studies per month (300 per year), 2-3 MSLT per month, are performed.
